Barb Naylor-Tatterson – Pastor

It all started nearly 40 years ago as a teenager in St. Joseph, Michigan. I had the lights switched on in my heart; I surrendered to Jesus and said “I will go wherever you want me to go”. When that step was made, I just didn’t know what would lie ahead.

The next years were full of God adventures, from Youth With a Mission-Texas, to years working at refugee camps in Hong Kong, meeting the man of my dreams, an Aussie named Ross, and then continuing in the work God had before us (adding to the adventure are 5 very cool kids; Jessica , Hannah, ( married with 3 and 3 step kids), Adam (Married with 2 kids), Bonnie (married) and Abby (married). Too many stories to tell, seeing awesome things God has done, experiencing life in various cultures. Learning and growing through the good and the incredibly disappointing situations that come our way.

My greatest joy is being a mother and part of a family; my own and the family of God. I enjoy good books, gardening, (I love to get my hands dirty), kids, babies, teenagers, long conversations, good coffee, tea in tea cups, laughing, quiet walks, movies that make you cry and I am embarrassed to admit; American Idol. The past 17 years and a half of church planting have been an exciting ride.

“We define Christian spiritual direction as help given by one Christian to another which enables that person to pay attention to God’s personal communication to him or her, to respond to this personally communicating God, to grow in intimacy with this God, and to live out the consequences of the relationship.”
